Most kitchen designing newbies don’t know this, but only 20% goes towards the labor of your kitchen and the rest goes towards counters, cabinets and hardware etc.
Here’s a few of the more common themes now seen in today’s homes.
Traditional kitchens are probably some of the most popular kitchens found in European and American homes. The have a classic and refined look. They make use of crown moldings and other decorative trim. The cabinets will typically be in mahogany, cherry and walnut style wood with classic handles.
County style kitchens are bright and inviting making use of light colors, flowers or flower patterns. Cabinets will usually be glazed or have a distressed painted look. There’s a few variations of Country Kitchens. There’s French Country which makes use of pastel color cabinets. And there’s English Country which is slightly more mannerly than french by using pine or oak square cabinetry design.
Contemporary kitchens are easily identifiable by their use of straight lines with a minimalist look. Which means they typically don’t use moldings. They most often have stainless counter tops with cabinets being white or bold colored. You will find this design quite often in the inner city.
